WEC24, the 16th World Esports Championship, a landmark event organized and managed by Vanguard, commenced at Riyadh's SEF Arena from November 11-19, culminating a year of intense national and regional qualifiers. Global esports athletes convened to vie for the coveted World Esports Champion title.
The championship's opening salvo featured electrifying PUBG Mobile and CS2 Women's tournament matches, setting the stage for nine days of elite competition.
WEC24 concluded with Indonesia securing its second Overall Championship title, demonstrating exceptional performance across all game titles, despite strong competition, including a notable showing from Turkey.
The championship featured unforgettable moments and epic plays, reaching its zenith with the Dota 2 and MLBB Women's finals.
WEC24 encompassed six tournaments: PUBG MOBILE, CS2 (Women’s and Open), Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Open and Women’s), and Dota 2.
The event established new benchmarks, including the largest CS2 Women’s tournament prize pool and the debut of the MLBB Women’s category. Over 480 athletes participated, generating iconic moments poised to shape the future of esports.
