FROM RIYADH TO PARIS: VANGUARD CONTINUES ITS JOURNEY WITH THE ESPORTS WORLD CUP

Paris, France — August 2026 — Vanguard is proud to mark another milestone in its journey with the Esports World Cup, supporting the landmark 2026 edition as the world’s largest esports event entered a new chapter in Paris.
Since the inaugural Esports World Cup in 2024, Vanguard has worked alongside the Esports World Cup Foundation as a strategic partner, contributing to the planning and delivery of one of the most ambitious platforms in global esports.
For EWC 2026 in Paris, Vanguard delivered an integrated scope spanning strategic planning, booth design, engineering, creative, programming, and festival activations, supporting experiences across Clubs, Publishers, and the wider festival.
This year marked a defining moment in that journey. For the first time in its history, the Esports World Cup expanded beyond Riyadh, bringing its global community to Paris from 6 July to 23 August 2026.
The historic edition brought together more than 2,000 professional players, 200 clubs and competitors from over 100 countries, competing across 25 tournaments and 24 game titles for a record-breaking prize pool of more than $75 million — the largest in esports history.
Beyond the competition, EWC Paris brought together fans, creators, publishers, partners and industry leaders through a global celebration of esports and gaming culture, spanning world-class competition, entertainment, community experiences and industry engagement.
For Vanguard, being part of this milestone represents the continuation of a partnership built from the very beginning of the Esports World Cup — bringing together strategy, creative thinking, technical expertise and on-ground delivery to help create experiences at the scale of a truly global event.
“Having been part of the Esports World Cup journey since its inaugural edition in 2024, seeing the event reach its first international host city is an important milestone for all of us,” said Alex McBride, Projects Director, Vanguard. “We are incredibly proud to continue working alongside the Esports World Cup Foundation and to contribute our expertise to an event that continues to push the scale and ambition of global esports forward.”
From Riyadh to Paris, Vanguard remains committed to helping build and deliver world-class esports experiences — and to supporting the continued growth of an industry connecting players, fans and communities around the world.
